This guide addresses our collective goal to partner with community organizations in helping meet their capacity-building needs. These opportunities complement and will often be integrated into the direct service roles students are already filling with partners. In this way, they fulfill not only our community partnership goals but also our student development goals.
The process outlined below also addresses our goals for tracking and documenting the impact of our community-campus partnerships. This will be accomplished by using standard forms for developing and then documenting Capacity Building Opportunities and Accomplishments. The Bonner Web-Based Reporting System will be used to collect this information, as well as to translate the opportunities into position descriptions that students will use when choosing their placements.
