BONNER GLOBAL VILLAGE NETWORK
The purpose of building the Bonner Global Village is to supportsustainable internationally-focused partnerships and to supplement existing international service programs within the Bonner Network with more coordinated support and resources. Doing so will increase impact on the student experience, individual campus internationalization initiatives, and the international communities partnered with our institutions.

The Bonner Global Village Network Philosophy & Approach
In cooperation with the Peacework Development Fund, the Bonner Foundation is launching the Bonner Village Network, a pattern of global engagement through service that strategically and systematically addresses some of the most critical global issues of our day. Our goals in this initiative are to:
- provide an infrastructure for sustainable and strategic international service
- establish 10 or more Bonner colleges' work over a period of 5 years in 10 or more strategic communities in the key disciplines of business, education, health, engineering, and agriculture
- enable students to develop skills and knowledge areas in an international context that is coherent with the Bonner student developmental model
Impact Analysis & Assessement
We envision "Youth and Poverty" as being a common theme across international communities, with schools potentially layering on other priority areas according to their interests and the communities needs.
The inaugural Bonner Global Village Conference in May 2012 set the stage for the development of this initiative. Students gathered together to found the first Bonner Global Village partnership in Orange Walk, Belize, while also raising their voices to support the strategic design and development of the Bonner Global Village Network.
Peacework: Official Partner of the Bonner Global Village Network
Peacework is a non-profit organization that coordinates global partnerships for integrated development by connecting the resources of colleges and universities with the needs of developing communities in over 20 countries around the world. Through this model, Peacework has worked for 22 years in promoting sustainable development through intentional partnerships that alleviate poverty and promote prosperity.
The Peacework Village Network model inspired the collaborative creation of the Bonner Global Village Network, through which Peacework is a primary partner. As a result, Peacework has worked with a variety of campuses in the Bonner Network in developing international projects and partnerships that uphold Bonner community partnership values of strategy, sustainability, and reciprocity.
