Headed by The Collaborative, A Center for Community-Based Learning, Service, and Public Scholarship under the auspices of the Assoc. VP for Academic and Public Partnerships in the Arts and Humanities in partnership with School of Arts and Sciences Educational Opportunity Fund (EOF) and the Office of Financial Aid—Federal Work Study, this program enables each committed, passionate Bonner student to serve 8-10 hours per week toward a 300 hour year long AmeriCorps term performing direct service at one of ten community based sites throughout New Brunswick, Edison, and Highland Park. While engaged in service, the students are supported by a unique mentoring structure that helps them acquire personal and professional development skills in the areas of budgeting, event planning, policy research, volunteer management etc.
