Service Learning, Going Deeper...

Theory and Practice | Reflection Training Modules | Sample Critical Reflections

Effective Bonner Programs integrate reflection in a consistent way throughout the program. This reflection happens in many venues besides meetings - in van rides to and from the site, through personal journaling, and  late night dorm-room debates. However, some structured reflection is critical for you to process what you learn through service involvement and to grapple with your role as both a cause and solution to the social needs your work addresses.

The Theory and Practice of Reflection

Why Reflect? What role does reflection play in my Bonner experience? How does reflection connect to my other commitments and concerns?

Reflection Training Modules

These Training Modules and Workshops are also available on the Trainings/Modules page, but this is a listing of those Modules specific to the practice and theory of reflection. Check them out to see how to develop your own opportunities for effective reflection creation and presentation.

Sample Critical Reflections

Want some examples of reflection material? Need some resources? Have a Reflection time scheduled and looking for material to use? Have you written your own reflection guidelines and want to share them with other Bonners?
