School (Lynchburg College)

Over the course of two years, I have been involved with the Bonner Leadership Team at Lynchburg College. My role consisted of helping to plan and facilitate weekly meetings. Besides volunteering at the local Boys & Girls Club, I have also been Lynchburg College's Bonner Congress Representative. As a representative, I have attended numerous conferences (Wofford College, Northeastern University & West Virginia Wesleyan College) and have helped to organize service exchanges with schools in the Southern Virginia area. More recently, I have taken on the role as Senior Intern. As Senior Intern, I have helped with the selection process of new Bonners, planning meetings, facilitating leadership team meeting and helping with fall orientation.

Bio

My name is Kristin and I am originally from Freehold, NJ. I am currently a Senior at Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, VA. My major is currently international relations with a concentration in Asia as well as a minor in political science. I love to travel and see different areas of the world. Within the last year, I have traveled to Thailand, Vietnam, Spain and Morocco all with Lynchburg College! Besides traveling, I have a passion to help others and give back to my community. I grew up doing a lot of community service with my church and I absolutely love the Bonner program!  Bonner has allowed me to continue my passion so far from home.

Favorite Social Media Tool

I think facebook has been a great way to keep in touch with people and provides a good sources of social media for networking purposes. I am not very familiar with twitter or wikis, but I'm eager to learn more!
