ENVS 490 - Introduction to the Black River Watershed
Credits (Range): 2 hours
An interdisciplinary examination of the local Black River Watershed, through a combination of lectures, field trips, and discussions. Principles of place-based, interdisciplinary watershed education will be introduced, and students will work with a teacher in the local public schools.

ENVS 293 - Practicum in Contemporary Agrarianism
Credits (Range): 3 hours
This course exemplifies Oberlin's tradition of Learning and Labor through an intergrated study of contemporary agrarianism and its application to Oberlin's own farm and local food system. This course links classical agrarian perspective with modern efforts to re-invigorate local food systems through urban agruiculture, regional food systems, and ecological farm design.

ENVS 292 - Practicum in Agro-Ecology
Credits (Range): 3 hours
The fild of agro-ecology considers the sustainablity of our food system by applying an ecological framework to the production of food. Agro-ecology is inherently interdisciplinary and considers the intergration of farm ecosystems with broader food systems. This couse will utilize the Jones Farm as a focal point for understanding the intersection between local ecology, farm systems, and broader food systems.

- Plans are underway to create a Local Food Policy Council for Lorain County (In Process)
- Clean Ohio Fund-restores, protects, and connects Ohio's important natural and urban places by preserving green space and farmland, improving outdoor recreation, and by cleaning up brownfields to encourage redevelopment and revitalize communities.
