Organization Description: Sports4Kids provides lunchtime, recess and afterschool youth sports programming taught from a framework of youth development.  Currently we work with schools in the San Francisco Bay Area and Baltimore, Maryland and we have plans to expand to Boston and Washington, D.C, in the 2006-7 school year.

Internship Position

Internship Description: Sports4Kids' volunteer interns commit to a semester supporting site staff in delivering our school based programs.  Sports4Kids is also currently hiring for paid site staff for the 2006-07 school year for all of our locations (Bay Area, Baltimore, Boston and Washington, DC).  All first year staff in the Bay Area are also AmeriCorps members.

The Sports4Kids Site Coordinator position runs from mid-August through the end of June.  In the Bay Area, the AmeriCorps position has an associated living allowance of $21,700 plus an education award of $4700 upon completion of 1700 hours of service.
