Organization Description: Camp Echoing Hills, the flagship ministry of Echoing Hills Village, provides a unique camping experience for persons with disabilities from around the state of Ohio. For over 40 years, the camp has offered individuals with disabilities the opportunity to experience the joys of everyday life. Over 500 campers in a summer season, share in the kind of experiences that create memories for a lifetime. They enjoy fun-filled activities including go-cart racing, archery, fishing, nature trails, horseback riding, swimming, campfires, hay rides, talent shows and cook outs. It is a week filled with action, adventure and just good old fun.

Internship Position
Internship Description: If the internship occured during the school year, the student's experience would focus on a variety of issues and jobs involved in residential care of persons with disabilities. Students studying social work, psychology, nursing, physical therapy, occupational therapy, health care administration, or Christian ministries could benefit from working with one or all of our facilities. The internship could be tailored to fit the needs of each student, with quality supervision in each area.

Service Opportunity
Service Opportunity Description: Camp Echoing Hills provides a great experience in Christian camping for individuals with all kinds and degrees of disabilities. Students would receive extensive training before campers arrive. Camp counselors provide leadership and encouragement for their campers. Their responsibilities include program involvement, supervision, and physical care for campers. First-year cabin counselors who are 18 years old or older receive a competitive salary plus free room and board for the ten weeks of camp.
