Internship Position

Internship Description:

The Public Policy Intern will work directly under the direction of the Vice President for Public Policy and Federal Relations.

Timetable: the summer or one semester or one year

Intern will assist ASPIRA in the following projects:

1. Assist in the development of publications, reports and proposals as well as Web Page.  

2. Attend and report on meetings related to public policy education and health issues of interest to ASPIRA and disseminate information to ASPIRAís network

3. Development of Policy Briefs related to policy issues of interest to ASPRA

4. Provide assistance with publications

5. Conduct research on potential funders for local/national health and education collaborations

6. Provide assistance in coordination of committee meetings for national projects.

Management Internship

Intern will assist ASPIRA in the following projects:

1. Attend and report on meetings related to public policy issues of interest to ASPIRA and disseminate information to ASPIRAís network

3. Development of  scholarly electronic Policy Briefs related to policy and education issues of interest to ASPRA

4. Conduct research on potential funders for program proposals

5. Provide assistance in coordination of community meetings for national projects

6. Provide for assistance with ASPIRAís Conferences by submitting letters to potential exhibitors and funders

7. Input information on congressional and organizations contacts in ASPIRAís e-mail database

Internship provides for high level experiences.
