Action Without Borders connects people, organizations, and resources to help build a world where all people can live free, dignified and productive lives.  Action Without Borders is independant of any government, political ideology, or religious creed.  Our work is guilded by the common desire of our members and supporters to find practical solutions to social and environmental problems, in a spirit of generosity and mutual respect.  

Our Website, www.idealist.org, advances this mission by creating opportunities for collaboration among individuals and organizations around the world, in both English and Spanish.  Every day, organizations come to Idealist to enter and update information about their services, volunteer opportunities, resources, events, campaigns, internships and job openings. Individuals can then search and browse through all this information, and they can also register for automatic email updates with new listings matching their needs, interests and location.  Growing mainly by word of mouth, Idealist has become one of the most comprehensive directories of nonprofit and volunteering resources on the Web, with:

* Over 30,000 registered organizations in 153 countries

* 20,000 unique visitors to the site each day

* 1,000,000 weekly page views

* 75,000 subscribers to our daily job and internship email alerts

* 8,000 volunteer opportunities
