Ensuring a Brighter Future for America's youth
Engaging students in communities : Members recruited TCNj Bonners to engage in a year wide effort at Hedgepeth Williams School in Trenton. this school is in dire need of support and resources. We are working with G. Grants Academic Sports Academy to staff the after school program, develop after school curriculum, and mentor the kids in the asa program @ Hedgepeth. We will also be working in the school during the day : assisting teachers and working one on one with students who need extra support. Brittany is also linking TCNJ FSP classes to hedgpeth williams to partake in various educational programs and projects. Volunteers also painted a huge welcome mural when you walkinto the main entrance of the school. Teh need that we are adressing is lack of resources for Urban Schools. and offering higher educational opportunites to inner city youth. We are in partnership with the Trenton School District and Academic Sports Academy for thsi project.
