The Bonner Scholars freshmen class of 2012 partnered with Urban Ministries United Methdist Church and the Joe Rush Urban Center located in Birmingham Alabama. The Joe Rush Center for Urban Mission seeks to strengthen and support the faith of youth and adults through Bible study, prayer, worship, and hands-on service. Bonner Congress representatives Shafiquah Faust and Gabrielle Gant attended the conference and presented a workshop on service and leadership.
Bonner Summer Leadership Institute Training in Deland Florida at Stetson University
Five (5) Bonner scholars attended Bonner Summer Leadership Institute Training in DeLand, Florida. Bonner program Assistant Kerry Dean Nugent also attended the conference.

- Need for additional training: Yes. Would like to have all staff familiar with training for usage th April 27 one hour training was not sufficient. J. China and K.
