Big Ideas (What We Will Do?)
We want to utilize the Bonner wiki and other social media to deepen our relationship with other Bonner schools. We would like to not only gather ideas and best practices from these schools, but also work on planning a service exchange with schools in the Southeast. We believe that this will help to build the Bonner network across campuses and make us feel more apart of the Bonner student movement.
Our Social Media Strategies (How We Will Do It): Through the use of facebook and the Bonner wiki, we can exchange ideas and keep in touch with other Bonner schools in the Southeast. We can also utilize these tools to exchange ideas about service, internships, and other opportunities in the region.
Describe which of these tools you're going to use and how:
Facebook is a great way to keep in contact within our Bonner program and with other schools. Groups and events can help us get the word out about campaigns and events in the region and across the country.
Social Bookmarking This tool will be great for documenting summer service opportunities within our campus. We can also collaborate with other schools to share these resources.
Wikis Wikis are the best way to plan an event with other Bonner schools and exchange ideas with other campuses.
Blogs/Video Blogging Blogging can be utilized by Bonner students at our school who are abroad or elsewhere doing service. It is also a great means of reflection. The same can be said for video blogging. With the flip camera that the Bonner Center purchased this past summer, we can document our service sites and trainings as well.
Building Networks and Being National Representatives:
We will personally make an effort to communicate with other Bonner schools and those we met at the Bonner Congress in order to further develop utilization of social media tools for our campus. |
