Helping Individuals See How Their Contributions Count

Motivating a Team

Action: Motivate your team by demonstrating that their work is valued.

Here are two activities to help the individuals in your team see the strengths that they bring to your project.

Summary of ACTIVITIES:

The first activity, Find Me, is great to get people thinking about the assets of your group.

The second activity, Leadership Compass, guides individuals through an exploration of four different styles of leadership, and helps them understand the strengths and weaknesses that they bring to the group.

Objectives:

-    To help individuals understand their leadership style

-    To help individuals understand that their work is appreciated

-    To develop healthy group dynamics

Level:

These activities are for EVERYONE, but requires a facilitator who is familiar with the Leadership Compass Training Module.
