Building Issue Awareness

Motivating a Team

Action:  Here are two activities to get team buy-in for your Big Idea.

Summary of ACTIVITIES:

The first activity, Big Idea Jeopardy, is based off the popular TV game show.  It will get your team energized and informed about your Big Idea.

The second activity, Brainstorming a Shared Vision, will help your team take ownership for your Big Idea.  It is a discussion-based activity that gives your team the opportunity to creatively envision the importance of your Big Idea while empowering them to take part in crafting that vision.

Objectives:

-    To help you present your Big Idea to your team in a fun and engaging way.

-    To help your team understand the importance of your Big Idea.

-    To encourage your team to take ownership and develop a shared vision of the project.

Level:
These games are for EVERYONE!

Materials:
-    Flip chart and markers.

-    Participants will need something to write with and on.

Preparation:

Both of these activities require a little preparation on your end.  Read through them ahead of time, and adapt them to fit your Big Idea.
