Lindsey Wilson College is a four-year liberal-arts college affiliated with the Kentucky Conference of The United Methodist Church. 

William T. Luckey Jr. is LWC's eighth president, and John B. Begley is chancellor. Under President Luckey's leadership, LWC's operating budget has been dramatically expanded to more than $54 million, and the number of faculty and staff has grown to more than 300.

Lindsey Wilson is classified as a Baccalaureate College-Liberal Arts by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. Institutions placed in that category are primarily undergraduate colleges that emphasize undergraduate teaching, baccalaureate-degree programs and award at least half of their baccalaureate degrees in the liberal arts. Lindsey Wilson is one of five Kentucky institutions to be classified as a Baccalaureate College-Liberal Arts.

Location: LWC is located on more than 200 partially wooded acres on a hilltop in Columbia, Ky., a small town about 20 miles from Lake Cumberland in South Central Kentucky.

2014-2015 HIGHLIGHTS

• JR Affirmation Ceremony: In August when most students are prepping for an expanding new course load, our junior Bonners were reaffirming their desire to serve wholeheartedly by participating in an affirmation ceremony. At this ceremony, each junior Bonner signed an affirmation of commitment to service document. By signing this document, our Bonners committed to continue serving with a refreshed desire and passion.

• Fall Break Service Trip: Many junior and senior Bonners attended the fall break service trip to New York City, New York. While there, our Bonners worked at God's Love We Deliver, a "provider of nutritious, individually-tailored meals to people who are too sick to shop or cook for themselves" in New York City. Our students committed to 20 hours of service on this trip.   https://www.glwd.org/about/overview.jsp

• COATS FOR KIDS: A student-led initiative, COATS FOR KIDS culminated in December of 2014 when new winter coats were delivered to every single child at Adair County Head Start, totaling 51 donated coats.

• SHOP WITH A RAIDER: A student-led initiative, SHOP WITH A RAIDER, culminated on December 14, 2014 when Bonner Scholars and Student Activity Board Members went shopping with six children at the local Wal-Mart. This initiative was supported by donations only. Over $1,000 was donated which granted six children in need the opportunity to shop for Christmas gifts. 

• FIRST YEAR SERVICE TRIP: Each year our first year Bonners have an opportunity to attend the spring break service trip. For the past four years, the spring break trip has been located in St. Augustine, Florida. This past spring break our group had the privilege of serving at: 

• Keepers of the Coast: A conservation organization focused on protecting the environment in which the local sea turtle population lives. Volunteers at this site helped with beach clean-ups, removed evasive plant life off of the shoreline, and prepared stakes used during sea turtle nesting season.
• St. Francis House: A restorative soup kitchen that provides not only meals, but a shelter,  in which volunteers have the opportunity to serve meals to the homeless.
• St. John's County Housing Partnership: Volunteers at this site painted the outside of an elderly man's home, assisting the site in providing services to the elderly and needy in the community in order to keep their homes in good repair. 
• St. Augustine Lighthouse: Volunteers provided landscaping restoration to a historical landmark. 
• Habitat for Humanity: Volunteers painted and assisted with other structural work on recently built homes for the community.  

• SOPHOMORE EXCHANGE: On January 31, 2014, our sophomore class of Bonners attended the annual Sophomore Exchange. This event was held on the campus of Berea College in collaboration with their Bonner program.
