CAMPUS AT A GLANCE (brief description)

Juniata's mission is to provide an engaging personalized educational experience empowering our students to develop skills, knowledge, and values that lead to a fulfilling life of service and ethical leadership in the global community.

Juniata is an independent, co-educational liberal arts college founded in 1876 by the Church of the Brethren.

In a safe and beautiful learning environment set in the southern Allegheny Mountains of central Pennsylvania, Juniatians benefit from rich traditions and academic experiences that flexibly support learners.

Juniata is much more than your typical college campus - it is an actively engaged community where individuals are encouraged to think independently, evolve individually and act globally.

MORE ABOUT US (our partners, trips, structure, best or unique practices)

This year the Bonner Leaders have a wide variety of community service activities and projects ranging from working with the elderly and disabled to cutting trail systems. We also worked together to develop ideas that will bring awareness of many service opportunities to the Juniata campus. One of these ideas was to host a Community Service Fair on campus that would bring local service site coordinators and leaders into one place to meet and network with other Juniata students. Some of this years Bonner members participated in a service-learning program called Urban Immersion, which is a program dedicated to promoting service in urban areas. This year, students went to Philadelphia during the week before the beginning of the spring semester and developed promotional videos as part of their service experience.
