Contact student organization coordinating the “Sleep out for Homeless” fall event on campus and determine co-sponsorship opportunity (adding educational component and/or food collection)
Identify local soup kitchen for coordinating volunteer opportunities to schedule during school year.

The group will be planning a poverty simulation experiential activity similar to the program that they participated in via a Bonner opportunity in the Fall of 2008

Bonners will develop an educational campaign to raise awareness of poverty within our own community.

Through the Community Service Advisory Board, Bonners will seek to assist student organizations in maximizing their service efforts through co-sponsorships and information sharing. They would like to develop some “best practice” handouts to assist organizations in planning successful service events.

A.S.S.I.S.T. (Active Students Serving in Society Together) is a campus student run organization that focuses on community service and philanthropy.

.E.A.R.T. (Helping Each Other and Redefining Tomorrow) is a philanthropic organization dedicated to improving the lives of others. The members are committed to helping the young, the elderly, and the environment.
