  • Caf is located on the main floor of Founders Hall
  • Sign in on the Bonner Orientation sign-in sheet at cash register.

 

Parent Opening Session including Lunch........................................................... 12:30pm

  • Atrium in the Cafeteria:  Get food and bring to the room on the far left of the balcony inside the dining hall.

Wednesday, August 18th:

DRESS CODE

 

Service Sites..................................................................................................... 8:30am to 12:30pm

  • Interactive Resource Center: IRC
    • 10 volunteers
    • Volunteers will be attending the morning staff meeting and will also get a quick tour and orientation. After the staff meeting and tour the students will help around the center with the preparation of lunch, laundry, and other hands on activities.  
  • Second Harvest Food Bank
    • 25 volunteers
    • Volunteers will be broken up into 2 groups.  One group will be working in the garden (10) and one will be working in the Food Bank (15).  Please where sneakers that can get dirty!!!
    • The food bank community garden grows fresh food for Second Harvest which is the primary food bank for northwestern NC.  The food goes to soup kitchens, food pantries, Kid's Cafes and community centers, among others.
    • The food bank also sorts, salvages, and culls donated products.  They also receive thousands of eggs from their agencies, which have to be inspected.
