Dickinson College is located in Carlisle, a historic town in south central Pennsylvania. It is part of the metropolitan region of Harrisburg, the state capital. The campus is 104 acres, including an 86-acre main campus a few blocks from the center of town. It was founded in 1783, the first college chartered in the newly-recognized United States of America. It was named to honor John Dickinson, the penman of the American Revolution and a signer of the Constitution.

Accomplishments this year

 

*Recruited the largest class of Bonners so far for Dickinson totaling 18 students.

*Improved participation in and training on BWBRS, CLA’s, and evaluations.

 

*Great discussion involving faculty and several community partners on the impact of the economy on non-profits.

 

*First week long first year service trip to New Orleans.

 

*Utilized a variety of high quality campus programs to enhance the Bonner Training and Enrichment.

 

*Received a high number of great evaluations from our community partners.

 

*Sophomores participated in the Impact Conference as the 2nd year exchange.

Sent Bobby an outline for goals/activities for this spring. Leonard met with admissions, work-study and Professor Staub (Academic Affairs) to start thinking about next year, recruiting earlier, etc.

Had a retreat that went well.
