Director of Service Leadership Programs
 
Defiance College has an immediate opening for a Director of Service Leadership Programs in the College’s McMaster School for Advancing Humanity.  The School serves as a catalyst for innovative, interdisciplinary, community-based work by creating and supporting opportunities for teams of faculty, students, and staff to use their academic and professional skills to address community needs.  The Director will be responsible for promoting community involvement and engagement across campus and will have primary responsibility for developing, maintaining, and overseeing the Bonner Leader and Citizen Leader Programs.  The Director will work with Admissions for the recruitment of eligible students into these programs, work with the students in these cohort programs throughout their time at Defiance College, and represent the programs on campus, within the larger Defiance community, and at regional and national events.  Responsibilities will also include supervising an Americorps VISTA Representative and administering VISTA program requirements; promoting local and national service opportunities; organizing and leading student learning communities and traveling with students both domestically and internationally; and working with faculty to develop service-learning opportunities.
