Crisis Ministry Program

Page history last edited by Robert Hackett 11 years, 1 month ago

The Bonner Foundation's Crisis Ministry Program provides approximately $600,000 annually in grants to religious, community-based hunger relief programs across the country. The mission of the program is to provide food for the hungry while encouraging congregations to build community relationships and strengthen their outreach programs.

The program's focus is on funding the purchase of food for anti-hunger initiatives that are supported by congregations with the involvement of their clergy, are actively involved in addressing the underlying causes of their clients' hunger, and are located in economically and socially disadvantaged communities of the United States.

At this point in time, the Foundation is not inviting new proposals for funding. We will continue supporting through a renewal grant process those organizations with whom we have maintained a long-term partnership.

It's great to see so many people being assisted through the Crisis Ministry! I was on the Board with Denise Reil, at Visitation Home during the early stages and it is truly growing into its mission. It is a great collaboration of students, volunteers and staff who are dedicated to the gospel imperative that life is precious in all stages and conditions.
Thank you for the support you provide.
