Stone Circles
Address:
Organization Description:
Since its inception in the spring of 1995, Stone Circles has found unique ways to integrate faith, spiritual practice, and social change. We have developed innovative outlets for interfaith
dialogue, action, and reflection and assisting individuals and organizations to integrate their faith into their work for justice. Over the past five and a half years, we have served over 4,500
people through workshops and trainings for nonprofit organizations, coalitions, and individuals; and interfaith celebrations which incorporate ritual, music, prayer, and movement from many traditions. Based on values and beliefs supported by lessons from historical movements, political realities and personal journeys. We honor the power of strength, spirit, stories and silence.
We work with three primary areas of activities:
1. Training and organizational development (i.e. The Spiritual Basis for Social Change, Reflection Tools for Nonprofit Organizations, etc..)
2. Circles (Collectives of activists who meet regularly for reflection, renewal and peer education).
3. Interfaith gatherings.
We are especially interested in helping with training, particularly around issues of faith, spirit, values, and reflection.
As resource provider, Stone Cirlces goes into Universities, non profit orgs. and private to provide training opportunities.
