Internship Position
Internship Description: Internships would fall under our Discern program. We host college aged students in positions in fall, spring or summer. These interns serve in various agencies and ministries and/or help to host small groups of volunteers in one week or weekend experiences.
We run our year long volunteer program with the Mennonite Mission Network and Presbyterian Church (USA). We are also partner with the United Methodist Church Youth Worker Movement and Mission Year.
Internship Start/End Dates:
Weeklong opportunities are offered throughout the year.
Weekend opportunities are available in Fall, Winter and Spring but not in summer.
Semester internships are available but will rotate in different cities. Dates vary. In 2011, we are offering a spring semester option in San Antonio, TX.
Summer internships are offered in every city every summer. Some positions provide a small living stipend. All Positions provide housing. Summer service begins around May 20 and ends around Aug. 12. Dates are sometimes flexible. We accept/hire 50% of the summer interns that are local to the city in which they apply and 50% that are "from somewhere else" other than the city in which they apply.
Year long opportunities are available in all cities every year. Each begin on or near Sept. 1 and end approx Aug. 15. These year long internships often become full-time job opportunities after the year is complete.
Application Process: Candidates apply via our website. Feel free to email for any additional information.
