Organization Description: Brooklawn provides comprehensive care, education, and treatment to boys with emotional and behavioral problems.  Most of our boys have been abused and neglected and do not have families.  Currently we have 115 boys living on campus ages 6-17 years old.

Internship Position


Internship Description: Internships in the Activities Department are available year-round.  In the summer we have daytime programs for our youth while we facilitate after-school activities for our students during the academic year.  Interns with our Activities Department would be developing and leading activities for our youth that are both fun and oriented towards their growth as individuals and members of a group. Interns in this position will be able to serve as mentors and role models for our youth.  Opportunities for Bonners to serve as interns responsible for volunteer recruitment or facilitating our after school tutoring program are also available.  For summer 2005, positions are avaliable as Activity Specialists. An Activity Specialist would lead a variety of recreational, arts, crafts, and cultural diversity activiteis. Activities are flexible based upon the person’s interest. Interns in this position will be able to serve as mentors and role models for youth. Additional opportunities are available for Bonners  in the Volunteer Program.  Interns would recruit volunteers and facilitate and after school tutoring program.
