Internship Position


Internship Description: The Mayo Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship brings 90-100 undergraduate research fellows each summer from around the US to the Mayo Clinic where they work beside investigators on a broad array of biomedical research questions. Students conduct their own small research project, participate in weekly seminars, join a summer journal club and receive a fellowship award.  

 

Internship Start/End Dates:

Application Process: Application must be done by mail or through the Internet.

To apply to the SURF program, you need to submit:

- A completed online SURF application form

- A one or two- page description of your goals, interests and prior research experience. As part of this description specifically address the question: “What leads you to believe you want to be a scientist?” - A current official transcript (a copy marked "Released to Student" is acceptable)

- Two letters of recommendation from undergraduate teachers or research advisers.
