Educational and Personal Benefits
You are joining a national network of over 2500 young adults participating in service-based scholarship programs in their communities and on their campuses through the Bonner Program. By participating in AmeriCorps through the Bonner Program you will:
- Serve with your community on issues of education, human needs, environment, or public health
- Commit to a service experience where you will complete approximately 10 hrs/week of service during the academic year and/or an intensive summer program of 300+ hours
- Participate between 2-4 years as a student in the Bonner Program by performing service, engaging in reflection, and taking part in leadership and enrichment activities both on campus and in your community
- Belong to a larger Bonner network of more than 75 campuses and 2500 members nationwide
Monetary Benefits
The Bonner AmeriCorps Program provides students with three types of education awards based on the amount of hours served. Each campus can choose to offer their students the following 300-hour, 450-hour or 900-term.

*These amounts are subject to change year to year, in accordance with the Corporation for National and Community Service regulations. The amounts noted above will apply to Members whose official enrollment date is between October 6, 2011 and October 5, 2012.
Term Limits
AmeriCorps Members may serve no more than 4 terms or receive an excess of two full-time AmericaCorps Education awards.
