  •   Americana Community Center:  Every week Americana Community Center serves the large refugee community of Louisville with an after-school program for children in grades K-12.  The program offers each child one hour of one-on-one tutoring, and one hour of sports, ESL classes, or arts exploration.  This summer, one of the University of Louisville Bonner Leaders will be teaching a creative movement dance class to the children participating in the summer program.
  • University of Louisville Dance Marathon:  The University of Louisville Dance Marathon was an event created by a group of University of Louisville students who saw a need for the University of Louisville to be more involved in the work of Kosair Children's Hospital.  Kosair Children's Hospital is the only free-standing children's hospital that offers medical treatment to children, regardless of their parent's ability to pay.  This year the theme for the event was "Dancing Around the World".  Artists and performers from around the city came and presented, from Indian dance groups to African drummers.
