Welcome to the Bonner AmeriCorps Program!

You are joining a national network of over 2500 young adults participating in service-based scholarship programs in their communities and on their campuses through the Bonner Program. By participating in AmeriCorps through the Bonner Program you will:

  • Work with your community on issues of education, human needs, environment, or public health
  • Commit to a service experience where you will complete approximately 10 hrs/week of service during the academic year and/or an intensive summer program of 300+ hours
  • Participate between 2-4 years as a student in the Bonner Program by performing service, engaging in reflection, and taking part in leadership and enrichment activities both on campus and in your community
  • Belong to a larger Bonner network of more than 75 campuses and 2500 members nation-wide

We thank you for participating and look forward to working and serving with you over the next several years!

AmeriCorps Paperwork

Each Bonner AmeriCorps member is required to submit the following paperwork to enroll in their desired term:

  • Bonner AmeriCorps Enrollment Booklet
    • Appropriate Citizenship documentation
    • National Criminal Background Check Release Form submitted with government issued photo ID
    • National Sex Offender Registry Release Form

Once enrolled in your AmeriCorps term, the following paperwork is created online via the Bonner Web-based Reporting System (BWBRS). Hard copies are then mailed with original signatures. Faxed or copies of signatures cannot be approved.

  • A new Community Learning Agreement (CLA) every semester for regular service sites
  • Monthly hour logs (printed one month per page)
  • Service Accomplishment Form: done at the end of every semester for each CLA

Once you've finished logging all your hours, you must submit an official exit form to complete your term and be able to access your award:

The Exit form and all outstanding paperwork must be received by the Foundation within 20 days of your last logged day of service.
