MORE ABOUT US (our partners, trips, structure, best or unique practices)
The 2008-2009 Allegheny Bonner community has invited new members to our community and sent off our first class of graduating Bonner Scholars. In celebrating their achievements and wisdom to our community, we are looking forward to a year of growth and deepening Community Partnerships. The Allegheny Bonner program continues to embrace our combination of Bonner Scholars and Leaders to create a multiyear and focused presence with community agencies. Bonners’ continued partnership with community agencies spans at least one summer and a school year to a four year placement allowing for continuous relationship and project development. The added intentional gathering and planning with other Allegheny Service-Leader Programs has fostered development of student facilitated community collaboration. These conversations have furthered our Bonner Program’s capacity building efforts to support and grow the larger Allegheny Service Movement. We are looking forward to implementing creative strategies to meet unique, local needs.
